Job Description
***Only qualified Application Support Analyst candidates located near the Tampa, FL area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

Education:
• First class degree with excellent academic qualifications. Bachelor’s (B.E/ B.Tech.) in Comp science, IT, or other engineering disciplines from a reputed institute with relevant work experience

Required Qualifications:
• MUST be able to optimize SQL queries, performance tune, table structures and indexes.
• MUST know basic Unix commands, command lines, how to move or add files.
• AbInitio is not required as long as another ETL tool is known.

Knowledge/Experience:
• Experienced with handling production support activities
• Familiar with Ab Initio architecture for issue identification and issue resolution
• Should be aware of the scheduling tool
• Hands-on experience UNIX with knowledge in scripting language to create scripts for automation of daily batch reports
• Relational Database SQL (Oracle) experience (5+ year). Should be capable of writing complex and efficient SQL DML statements
• Experience on shell scripting would be added advantage
• It is desired but not mandatory to have experience with ETL Development tools

Looking for a Senior Application support Analyst with 5+ years of experience in Unix, SQL, and Ab initio (or any other ETL tool). Need to be senior enough to work independently and self-learn at times. This business-critical Senior Application Support Analyst is required to support daily production batches. This requires research and identification from failed batches to resolutions at the quickest time. This is a business sensitive position that requires attention to detail and quick turnaround. Liaise between various support team across multiple vendors to provide seamless customer experience.

This Application Support Analyst reports to the application support manager lead locally and globally. Also, the responsibility is for all the job functionalities and ensure that the support teams are addressing the production issues and intimating the finance customers for any ongoing issues.

Application Support Analyst Responsibilities:
• Leads a critical operational support service, process, capability or initiative within an operational unit and ensures performance and/or risk indicators are met.
• Establish and monitor process performance measurements and business impact. Gather and communicate performance statistics and reports to internal stakeholders and senior management.
• Monitor effectiveness and efficiency of production and/or process. Determine and/or drives change and improvement efforts in production and/or processes.
• 5-7 years’ experience in handling production support activities.
• Unix shell scripting experience and understanding of Ab Initio environment (Co?Operating system). He should be able to understand, analyze and write PL SQL queries on Oracle and Sybase.
• Extensive knowledge of Ab-Initio development, components usage, EME, migration process with branching. He should be able to analyze the existing graphs and should be able to provide impact assessment.
• Should have good expertise in database level analysis to trace issues to closure.
• Willingness to learn backed with solid technology understanding of distributed systems is essential. Must have the ability to co-ordinate with other teams and come to a resolution of batch issues at the earliest.
• Coordinate with other stake holders located across shores
• Ownership and responsibility for end-to-end production batches.
• Ensure process compliance and manage expectations of the leadership
• Actively trace and track issues and document the issue resolutions.
• Create monthly issue reports.
• Ensure best practices are followed
