Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.



Skills & Requirements:

• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Ability to read, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.

• Experience with electronic data collection and computer software.

• Skilled in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.

• Comfortable handling and manipulating small parts.

• Strong judgment and decision-making abilities, with minimal supervision.



Job Overview:

In this role, you''ll be responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a specialized manufacturing cell. Working under supervision, you’ll assemble, repair, and test devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related components. Your tasks will follow established, standardized procedures and undergo regular quality reviews.



Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all job documentation for cell operations is accurate and current.

• Communicate effectively with all levels of manufacturing management, addressing ideas, challenges, and solutions in both written and verbal formats.

• Engage positively with internal teams and external visitors, such as on-site tours.

• Adhere to safety protocols, utilizing required safety equipment.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and achieve quality and profitability goals.

• Maintain accurate records for traceability, ensuring traveler and quality documents are complete and quality concerns can be tracked.

• Support quality and divisional initiatives under the Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory standards.

• Must be non-shedding and free of frayed hems, loose threads, and any materials that could dislodge, including tassels, fringes, glitter, and sequins.

• To check fabric suitability: pull tightly to ensure no fibers are dislodged; if fibers come loose, the garment is not allowed in production areas.

• Avoid sweaters, sweater vests, loose fiber garments, loose knits, and fleece.

• Clothing must be clean, free from visible contaminants (sand, dirt, lint, etc.), and fit neatly under the lab coat or gown from the waist up.

• Turtlenecks, high-necked clothing, and sleeves must not extend beyond the lab coat/gown neckline or cuffs.

• Headwear (caps, hats, scarves, or bandanas) should not be worn under the bouffant. For head wraps or scarves worn for cultural reasons, they must be made of tightly woven, clean fabric, fully covered by the bouffant, and the tail end concealed under the lab coat or gown.

• Loose clothing is prohibited around machinery or soldering/brazing torches.



Footwear:

• Shoes are required at all times in the production area, and stockings or socks must be worn.

• Heels should be no higher than 2 inches and should not be pointed.

• Avoid sandals, clogs, slippers, open-toe, or open-heel shoes, and any footwear with straps or weaves that expose the toes.

• Shoe changes should occur only in the designated gowning room, not in the production area.



Body Coverage:

• Torso, upper arms, and legs must remain covered.

• Pants and skirts should be ankle-length; skirts must have full-length stockings, leggings, or pants underneath.

• Avoid short skirts, skirts with slits, cropped shirts (above the navel), and sleeveless tops.



Personal Grooming and Hygiene:

• Nail polish, artificial nails, or any similar coatings are not allowed.

• Jewelry and body piercings that could pierce gloves or cannot be covered are prohibited.

• Makeup is not permitted; however, unscented lip balm in stick form may be applied outside production areas, following hand washing.

• Avoid scented personal products except deodorant; lotions should not be applied after hand washing.

• Cover any open wounds with a bandage, and avoid wearing anything that could be considered offensive.
