Hybrid Cloud Compute Optimization: Project work focused on the optimization of compute resources in both private and public cloud. Efforts are expected to deliver plans to reduce VMs (virtual machines), right-size assigned resources to VMs, identification of candidates for public cloud, etc. Experience with Microsoft Azure, FinOps, Nutanix HCI, or VMware vSAN will be considered a plus. This role will have a cross-functional group of people participating (e.g., Architecture, FinOps, Hosting, Public Cloud).



Job Description Summary

Support the delivery of change to the business by leading or participating in activities that enable assessment of business need, capture requirements, design appropriate solutions and deliver those solutions. Act as interface and point of liaison between the business and the IT team in order to undertake analysis into designated areas from a business solution, IT system or process perspective to identify problems, challenges or opportunities. Ability to problem solve and implement new ideas, whilst inspiring creativity with the teams you work with. May specialize in process, data, business or systems analysis and will be required to use one or a combination of those skills to identify gaps in business procedures, gather both high level and detailed requirements and where appropriate define or redesign processes, methods of working with business applications, workflow or other related business tools as may be necessary. Required to help identify areas for improvement and efficiencies and promote positive changes to the analysis process.



Primary Responsibilities

• Work with Stakeholders, Project Managers, Developers and Solution Architects to assist in the implementation of business led change, in order to support the achievement of business objectives

•Be aware of departmental and business unit vision, values and strategy to appropriately align initiatives

•Plan analysis activities, develop and gain agreement to detailed work breakdown plans to ensure delivery against agreed timescales

•Assist in the development of project plans and budgets. Manage, plan and execute analysis activities to ensure completion against project objectives and timescale

•Work with the business to analyse perceived business problems and/or opportunities in order to assess business need, challenge the business where necessary and deliver high level requirements

•Work with Project Manager and IT Portfolio Manager to define analysis work packages that will need to be executed during the course of the project.

•Lead or deliver such analysis activities as may be assigned; This may include:

•Running workshops with the business, stakeholders and other project participants, this may be to gather requirements or conduct impact analysis (which could be people, process or technology)

•Creation of as-is or to-be process maps or target operating models

•Defining and documenting business and functional and non-functional requirements

•Participate in defect triage and prioritization, and also addressing any requirements defects, changes or questions that come out of QA testing

•Assessing systems or processes for defects, gaps or potential areas for improvement

•Working with Architects or Development teams to create detailed design specifications documents

•Continuous review and assessment of solution delivery to ensure it will meet business requirements

•Supporting the project manager on the validation of test plans AND /or creation of UAT model. You will work with the business to facilitate execution of user acceptance testing and triage and reporting of results.

•Supporting the implementation phase of the project though the application of such knowledge as has been used to create the solution.

•Provide support for the resolution of business problems, evaluate potential change, identify implications and recommend solutions

•Build relationships with developers and business/technical subject matter experts by regularly communicating to establish the technical vision, analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs and gather information to meet requests within area of responsibility.

•Produce detailed, accurate and effective documentation using appropriate tools and techniques

•Prioritize workload and balance/escalate conflicting demands in order to ensure agreed deadlines are achieved

•Regularly review and monitor risks and issues and make recommendations for resolution. Where applicable own risks and issues that may relate to analysis and as delegated to do so by the Project Manager

•Manage and motivate business resources and project team resources (which may include 3rd party resource) to support the delivery of analysis and ensure output and deliverables meet the needs of the business

•Identify training requirements for assigned projects and business units by providing input to the training plan, supporting the development of training materials and participating in the training for assigned projects as required



Required Education



• Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience



Required Experience



• 7 years relevant experience

Preferred Experience



• Workable understanding of process integrated with technology systems and working in an ‘agile’ framework



Preferred Licenses/Certifications



• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification



Preferred Knowledge



• Detailed understanding of common analysis techniques and approaches – this should be system, business and process

•Has confidence and understanding of process integrated with technology systems, working in an agile framework.

•Awareness of mainstream IT technologies and architectures

•An understanding of the structure of an IT department, it’s environment and solutions, plans and strategies

•Knowledge of Insurance in appropriate market or business line
