Skills/Qualifications

• Have a minimum of four (4) years of experience working within a Medicaid program or a healthcare-related field.

• Have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the design, development, and/or implementation of a Medicaid, healthcare, and/or data warehouse system in the role of primary business analyst.



Desired Skills (plus):

• Expert Level MS Office Tools including Visio and working knowledge of MS Project

• Familiar with SDLC processes and milestones

• Possess excellent communication, writing, and QA skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

• JIRA experience a plus

• Experiencing designing surveys, templates, and materials to collect background materials.

• At least 2 – 3 years of experience in performing analysis to identify business process activities and ability to translate business issues into solutions.

• Training experience

• Ability to achieve deadlines.

• Ability to work cooperatively in both large and small settings.

• Ability to see the “big picture.”



Duties of a business analyst include:

• Facilitate and document project meetings, as needed.

• Identify, manage, and trace requirements by type throughout the entire project life cycle.

• Manage scope and define assumptions, constraints, and dependencies for the design and testing of the requirements.

• Prepare, review, and/or monitor compliance of any or all project artifacts.

• Prepare, execute, monitor and report on testing activities/status in each testing phase.

• Validate post implementation with requirements traceability matrix and manage defect identification, tracking, and resolution.

• Assist in the preparation of training materials.

• Identify and manage the completion of action items.

• Identify and communicate potential project risks and issues for State review; and

• Prepare and post updated documentation.
