Job Description


Title: Communications Specialist

Duration: 10/14/2024 to 04/11/2025

Location: Pleasanton, CA





Education:



Bachelor''s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Humanities, Business, Social Science, or related field OR Minimum two (2) years’ experience in communications, writing, marketing, or a directly related field





Internal Communications: Ensuring clear and consistent communication within the organization. This involves drafting emails, memos, and newsletters to keep employees informed about company news and initiatives.





Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating with stakeholders, to ensure they are informed and engaged with the organization’s activities.





Marketing and Customer Communications: Promoting the organization’s products or services through various channels, including social media, advertisements, and promotional materials.





Brand Management: Maintaining and enhancing the organization’s brand image. This involves creating and managing branding materials, such as logos, slogans, and visual content.





Content Creation: Producing content for various platforms, including websites, social media, and print materials. This content helps to promote the organization’s message and engage with its audience. Develops communications by writing, editing, and producing content for CTP programs and projects; proofreading and coordinating production of communications materials; ensuring final placement and distribution of materials; updating content on client-specific and internal/external channels; and ensuring content is consistent with the Client brand and editorial guidelines in terms of tone, manner, and messaging.





Media and Public Relations: Support in managing the organization’s relationship with the media and the public. This includes organizing press conferences, product launches, and interviews, and creating materials for these events.





Crisis Communication: Developing strategies to handle communication during crises. This includes preparing statements, managing media inquiries, and ensuring accurate information is disseminated quickly.





Communication Plans: Supports the development of strategic communication plans with guidance from more senior colleagues by working with clients and stakeholders to identify business objectives, key performance indicators, and communication requirements; collecting data and information; obtaining input and resources to fulfill communication plan objectives; working with appropriate audiences and channels; and providing support on a variety of organizational or change management initiatives.





Event Management: Support planning and executing of events that promote the organization.
