Job Description
***Only qualified Compliance Auditor candidates located near the Southern Region of Indiana will be considered, as the position requires onsite presence***
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or finance-related field, or 4 years' experience in an audit or investigations field
Required Skills:
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with State Agencies, Community Programs, and colleagues
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite to include Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Prior experience formulating and implementing audit corrective action plans
• Strong knowledge of applicable state laws, policies, service standards, and procedures
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Prior experience working as a billing auditor in a State or Federal Agency
The Community-Based Contract Compliance Auditor will be part of a regional team that provides on-site monitoring and reviews of the Client’s community-based contracted provider businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• The auditor will conduct reviews throughout Client’s regions 8, 12, 13, 14,15,16,17, and 18, which covers the bottom half of the state
• Community-Based reviews will evaluate the Client’s services and billing to assure there are no errors and that billing has been performed appropriately
• The auditor will educate, recommend, and create plans of corrections when any errors are found
• The auditor will conduct audits throughout the same regions as listed above
• Community-based audits will be a more comprehensive look at a provider's practices from the point of service to billing
• The auditor will educate, recommend, and create plans of corrections as well as pursue any financial damages to the state within this process
• The auditor will travel in a team to the Client’s contracted provider locations to conduct reviews and audits
• The auditor will also be part of a larger statewide team that will have weekly team Teams meetings, monthly division Teams meetings, and quarterly face-to-face meetings in the Central Office in Marion County
• The auditor will be responsible for suggesting process improvement within the team and the division and will be responsible for adhering to all applicable state laws, policies, service standards, and procedures
• The auditor will be responsible for participating in trainings to assist them in maintaining a full understanding of their position and its responsibilities
Travel:
• Travel to the Client’s provider locations within the regions is required.
• Travel will be as frequent as twice a week.
• Four times a year, the auditor will be required to travel to the Central Office in Marion County to participate in a Division meeting.
