Job Description
Education & Experience Required:

- Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum plus 1-3 years of experience or equivalent experience

- Willing to take 2 year degree with 4+ years of experience

- No Master’s degree’s

- Internships may be considered, must be relevant

Major Purpose:

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

- Executes engineering for design and development of technologies, components, systems, and products for generator control switchgear human machine interface (HMI) applications.



Why this Role?

- This is a critical role for the AES Engineering team here at client Switchgear. Our team has been consistently developing and growing to meet the demands/needs of our customers and the automated switchgear industry.

- This role will consistently challenge you to learn and grow with the custom nature of each project you complete.



Typical task breakdown:

- Designs, modifies, develops, writes, converts and implements software-programming for generator control switchgear human machine interface applications.

- Configures, programs and tests HMI hardware.

- Work with Power System Engineers to validate/correct HMI programming

- Supports HMI issues in the field and provides remote HMI installation support



Interaction with team:

- Works hand in hand with the HMI team under the supervision of the AES HMI manager.

- Collaborates extensively with the Power System Engineering team to test and validate HMI software development.



Work environment:

- Office Lab and Manufacturing Floorspace

- PPE gear will be needed

- 50/50 office and shop floor

- Will not be engaging on industrial equipment
