Job Description
**Only qualified Big Data Developer candidates located near the JERSEY CITY, NJ area are to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence**
Key Skills & Requirements:
•10+ years of overall IT experience, with a focus on Big Data development
•5+ years of hands-on experience with Java/Scala and Spark
•Strong troubleshooting skills with Spark, Java/Scala, and Hive
•Familiarity with Hadoop stack, including HDFS, Yarn, and Zookeeper
•Proficiency in SQL, particularly with Hive and Impala
•Knowledge of data warehousing concepts like SCD2 is a plus
•Experience with Kafka and Elastic is highly beneficial
•Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
We are seeking an experienced Big Data Developer with over 10 years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years of hands-on development expertise in Java/Scala and Spark. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and building applications using Spark, Java/Scala, and Hive. Experience with the Hadoop stack, including HDFS, Yarn, and Zookeeper, is highly desirable.
Additional skills in SQL (Hive/Impala), basic data warehousing concepts (such as SCD2), and familiarity with Kafka and Elastic are advantageous. The successful candidate will have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes in project requirements.
