Schedule Notes:

2-year contract.

Local candidates only - 100% onsite position.

Knowledge of Cisco equipment/products preferred.

Exp. with equipment logistics would be beneficial.



Job Discerption:



• The Equipment Logistics Clerk will play a key role in supporting the ongoing Network Modernization Program. The contractor will be responsible for managing the shipping, receiving, and proper handling of network equipment. This includes maintaining asset inventory, overseeing the disposal of outdated Cisco devices, and coordinating the removal of associated Smarten licensing.

• The role involves close coordination with the Accounting department, the Telecom/Network Operations Center (NOC), and monitoring teams to ensure accurate records and smooth equipment transitions.



Key Responsibilities:



• Shipping & Receiving:

• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments of network equipment.

• Verify deliveries against orders and maintain detailed records of inventory.



Inventory Management:

• Maintain up-to-date asset sheets, tracking all equipment movements.

• Ensure all new equipment is logged and properly labeled for future reference.



Disposition & Licensing:

• Oversee the disposal of obsolete Cisco equipment.

• Coordinate with SmartNet to ensure proper removal of licensing for old devices.



Coordination & Support:

• Work closely with the Accounting team to track equipment costs and billing.

• Collaborate with Telecom, NOC, and other technical teams to remove old devices and integrate new ones into the network.



Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure all logistical activities comply with internal policies.

• Maintain clear documentation of equipment status, licensing updates, and device transitions.



Skills: Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of telecom or network infrastructure is a plus.

• Experience using asset management software.



Keywords:

• Familiarity with network equipment (Cisco preferred) and licensing (SmartNet a plus).
