Job Description
Minimum Educational Qualifications:

• High School Diploma



Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in technical role

• Success in supporting remote diagnostics and repair

• Experience in micromobility, automotive, shared mobility, or related industries

• Superb written and verbal communication skills

• Experience in creating repair procedures, SOPs or similar technical documents

• Knowledge of micromobility vehicles, delivery platforms, shared vehicle subscriptions, and parcel delivery solutions

preferred

• ASE certification or other relevant education or certifications preferred



Other Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated history of adherence to ethical standards and professionalism

• Start-up environment experience is beneficial

• Strong interest in sustainable, environmentally-friendly new technologies

• Experience with repair of micromobility delivery vehicles

• Knowledge and experience with mobile and on-site vehicle repair

• Knowledge of how to diagnose and repair CAN-BUS failures

• Experience with remote diagnostic, trouble-shooting and support

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to travel as needed for offsite workshops, market launches, and trade shows, and business activities,

etc.



This Field Tech Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Lead Technician in serviceability analysis and benchmarking, creation of technical service documentation, and building and implementing technical training and onboarding. The FTS will be directly responsible for onsite inspection, diagnosis, and the repair of difficult to diagnose/repair vehicles. The FTS will determine the nature and scope of the problem, conduct reviews of service processes and equipment, identify the technicians that can benefit from additional training by analyzing performance gaps, and document the findings. The FTS is expected to analyze the situation, determine the source of the problem, and recommend corrective actions.



Responsibilities:

• Ensure uptime of 95% or better for their assigned area/zone

• Provide in-field technical assistance. Fix 95.5% of vehicles on the first visit

• In-field Fix on First Visit Assessments to support 3rd-party service partner performance.

• Create reports and provide feedback on vehicle performance, service performance, and individual technician performance to be used and viewed by a variety of internal and external cross-functional teams.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for 3rd party technicians in assigned area/zone to support difficult to diagnose/fix issues.

• Administrative duties: Document daily activities and provide feedback to Lead Technician and Head of Service.

• Create Field Quality Reports when appropriate.

• Special Projects: Test tools and provide feedback. Inventory special tools when necessary. Support service engineering data collection activities. Provide technical support for cross-functional vehicle activities.

• Professional Development: Attend training for new models, current issues, and new technology. Perform analysis and create reports for new and updated vehicles.
