• Required Level of Education: Certification in Professional Coding

• How many years of related experience are you looking for in your ideal candidate? 3-5 years professional fee review/auditing experience

• Specific Systems Knowledge Required: EPIC

• Any Required Certifications? CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) or CCS eligible or RHIA/RHIT



• Top Three things Worker will be doing:

Reviewing provider documentation, validating diagnosis selection, correcting diagnosis selection based on documentation in the review tool

• Top Three Skillsets needed: analytical, auditing skills, strong professional diagnosis coding skills

Job Description:

Minimum of 3+ years of professional fee quality review/auditing required. Minimum of 5 years of professional fee coding required. Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to develop and provide high quality in-service and seminar of coding and coding related topics. Working knowledge of State/Federal, CMRI, NCQA, JCAHO, and CMS Regulations.



• Preferred Qualifications:

• CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) credential preferred

• CDIP (Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner) credential preferred



• Additional Requirements:

• Understanding of state/federal regulations that impact coding and reimbursement

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Provide expertise for high quality in-service and seminar of coding and coding related topics and clinical documentation integrity

• Working knowledge of Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding and reimbursement methodology

• Current knowledge of ICD and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding systems

• Knowledge of computerization and technological advances in health information

• Familiarity with privacy, security and confidentiality impacting sharing of clinical information

• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership (union) environment
