POSITION SUMMARY

This position is a member of the St. Louis Site Management Sustainability, Safety, Health and Environmental (SSHE) Team

Position is primarily an in-office role with some ability to work from home on a periodic basis depending on business need. Experience in safety and health and teaching/training preferred. Position may involve light manual work such as moving emergency response equipment, cleaning up/organizing storage rooms and trailers, assistance with vehicle maintenance and service including cleaning, fueling, etc.

Some tasks are manual labor and a small amount of lifting ~25-40 lbs. will be required. However, in this team things change quickly, and this role may have to be flexible to drop what they are doing and help in a response or other higher priority tasks.



RESPONSIBILITIES

• Day to Day operations for this role will vary depending on the needs of the group. Most days will have times of computer work and more hands-on tasks.

• Assist with Incident Prevention Committee (quarterly campaigns, report running, and near-miss follow-up)

• Review of Hazardous Work Permits

• Transfer of Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures to new template and update of revisions

• Contractor & Guest Program checks (ISN status, training check-ins, review of contractors logged into the Receptionist lobby tool, etc.)

• Assisting Managers with “On-Call” Yellow Dot scheduling and putting on the team’s calendar.

• Assist with Safety Events and Wellness Initiatives (Safety Day, Earth Day, Blood drives, Mammography Van, Safety Campaigns, Collaboration Calls)

• Coordinating vehicle repairs, licensing, and ensuring that vehicles are fueled and ready to go when the team needs them

• Organizing equipment storage trailers/rooms

• Managing Emergency Response instrumentation (repairs, calibrations, etc.)

• Equipment review action items follow ups

• Site OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Support and follow up on with SSHE Team Members

• Assist with updating Emergency Maps

• Assist with developing and updating training slides for various safety programs

• Updating safety program documentation to newest versions

• Safety island spot checks and follow ups

• Training for Emergency Response Procedures Training

• Assist with Styker Chair Training

• Member of the Emergency Response Committee – optional

• Support Ergonomics and Office Wellness Committee

• SDS entry spot checks (STL and Warehouses)

• Office supply management and ordering
