Job Description
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education:
• Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• 2 to 4 year’s payroll processing experience in a multi-company, multi-state environment required
• Ability to plan & organize work schedules, establish workload priorities and perform assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Knowledge of employee tax setup based on live/work jurisdictions
• Must be proficient with spreadsheets and database query skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Excellent customer services skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to communicate and disclose data in an accurate manner

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Experience with Ultimate Software (UltiPro) and Kronos
• Experience with garnishments and Union dues billing

Job Duties:
• Process manual checks as required
• Maintain payroll records, process approved payroll record changes
• Answer and/or research payroll inquiries from employees and managers
• Perform payroll reconciliations
• Daily data entry of payroll information
• Submit or approve Positive Pay file to bank for all daily manual checks issued
• Ad hoc projects as assigned
Garnishments and reporting responsibilities include:
• Analyze and process payroll garnishments
• Process garnishment refunds when required
• Create weekly cash forecasting report
• Run Accounting reports as requested
Union responsibilities include:
• Process Union new hire and termination changes
• Process Union payroll changes
• Prepare monthly Union billings and submit to AP for payment
• Preparer monthly Pensions billings and submit to AP for payment
• Deposit refund checks received in mail from the Unions
• Process Union refunds and garnishments when required
