Phone Operator Overview:

Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

Exhibits exceptional Customer Service skills.

Applies basic production, operational, and administrative skills in procedures, techniques, and/or equipment.

Follows written or verbal instructions or procedures.

Can apply knowledge to handle routine problems but often seeks guidance with unfamiliar situations.

Routinely performs work of limited scope and authority to make decisions that instructions and procedures will allow.



Job Duties:

Operate communication systems, such as telephones and switchboards.

Answer incoming calls, greet callers, provide information, transfer calls, and/or take messages as necessary.

Route emergency calls appropriately.

Relay and route written and verbal messages.

Contact security staff members when necessary.
