Description:

Participation and occasional leading of the development and implementation of strategic and tactical approaches for the Company's overall Labor Relations Strategic Plan to include bargaining strategies. Gathering intelligence throughout the external labor relations environment in California and Washington DC, in order to present and discuss opportunities and obstacles which may be present. Works to identify potential/actual problem areas in the Company's labor relations practices. Recommends the resolution of various contractual issues with the unions. Manages various projects related to labor agreements. Directs research on collective bargaining agreements involving other companies. Partners with internal organizations as appropriate to develop and implement strategies and tactics to resolve issues between the Company and Unions.



Education Requirement

Bachelor's Degree.



Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload

• Lead the Aviation, Filing, and Maintenance (AF&M) Program, and perform annual program documentation review for FAA rules & regulation alignment and find opportunities for process improvements.

• Responsible for AF&M consultant(s) oversight and related purchase order (PO) management activities for existing and/or renewal.

• Responsible for oversight of AF&M program invoicing and confirmation of work completion.

• Responsible for submittal and tracking of AF&M program filing with FAA requirements.

• Serve as the AF&M lead to support the Public Safety Improvement Initiative directly related to Aerial Line Strike improvement opportunities.

• Engage with external parties, such as communities, cities, and government officials as it relates to all matters directly tied to the AF&M program.

• Makes strategic decisions regarding establishing and/or changing AF&M program minimum requirements.

• Responsible for coordinating with Enterprise Work Management (ERM) for any wire-strike risk analysis and AF&M exception process.

• Present to senior leadership (e.g., operational/corporate governing bodies) on AF&M program performance and/or other related key activities.



Required Skills/Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.

• Ten (10) or more years of combined experience in FAA requirements and/or project/program management, business operations and/or strategic planning.



Desired Skills/Attributes

• Master’s degree in business, engineering or other related discipline.

• Broad knowledge of Client Aviation, Filing, and Maintenance (AF&M) Program and/or Federal Aviation Administrative (FAA) rules and regulations.

• Program and/or Project Management certifications.

• Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
