The Product Owner (PO) plays a crucial role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of the team’s products and services. The PO serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, development teams, and end users, ensuring that solutions are aligned with business goals and deliver value. The ideal candidate must possess a blend of technical acumen, business analysis skills, and Agile expertise to effectively manage product development cycles.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties:
1. Backlog Management & Prioritization
• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, organized, and continuously refined.
• Prioritize backlog items based on business impact, user needs, technical feasibility, and dependencies.
• Ensure all backlog items align with the Rely team’s goals and overall product strategy.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and adjust backlog priorities accordingly.
2. Planning & Execution
• Partner with the Scrum Master and development team to plan sprint goals, objectives, and scope.
• Ensure backlog items are properly groomed before sprint planning sessions.
• Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to remove roadblocks and provide clarity.
• Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and provide feedback to the development team.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
• Act as the primary liaison between business units, customers, and technical teams.
• Gather and translate business needs into actionable development tasks.
• Conduct regular product demonstrations and sprint reviews to showcase progress and gather feedback.
• Ensure transparency in product decisions and communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.
4. Technical Documentation & Case Development
• Develop business cases for new product features or enhancements, including cost-benefit analysis.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including product roadmaps, process flows, and feature specifications.
• Work closely with engineering teams to document system behaviors, API interactions, and integration points.
• Ensure all documentation is accessible and up-to-date in Confluence, Jira, or other relevant tools.
5. Product Release & Deployment Planning
• Experience managing end-to-end product release cycles, including UAT, deployment, and post-release monitoring.
• Ability to work closely with QA teams to ensure feature releases meet performance and security requirements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile DevOps processes is a plus.
• Strong experience translating technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa.
• Ability to work with executives, developers, UX designers, and end users to ensure alignment.
• Experience leading cross-functional team discussions and executive-level presentations.
6. Technical Understanding
• Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, and cloud technologies to facilitate conversations with development teams.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and enterprise system integrations.
• Experience working in a SaaS, cloud-based, or enterprise application environment is a plus.
