Job Description
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a technical field.
• Equivalent education, training, or related work experience may also be considered.
Preferred Education:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Required License/Certification:
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) within one year of appointment (extensions per SPP-34.018 if applicable).
Preferred License/Certification:
• Certification or licensure in a professional field (e.g., PE, CPA, CFP).
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with budgets over $25 million or multiple projects with a combined budget over $75 million.
• Strong leadership skills to coordinate and guide project teams.
• Expertise in project scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
Job Duties
• Plan, direct, and manage project activities from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate Joint Project Teams to meet project goals within specified constraints.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
• Ensure all projects are completed safely and to a high standard of quality.
Senior Project Manager Overview:
The Senior Project Manager oversees the planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, and completion of specific projects within budget and specifications. This role involves leading Joint Project Teams (JPTs), applying professional principles and practices to control project schedules, costs, and risks. The Senior Project Manager ensures projects meet quality standards within constraints such as time, budget, resources, and materials. They act as the single point of contact for assigned projects and lead efforts to manage them safely. Typically, this role handles large, multifaceted projects with budgets exceeding $25 million or portfolios with an aggregate total above $75 million. This Senior PM must have experience, knowledge and skills in delivering an ERP for SAP, S4 Hana. Experience with a utility company is preferred but vast experience in this field is required. This person must be able to manage the politics and several senior executives during delivery and possess a PMP, at a minimum with Scrum, agile and vast experience in testing. The position is going to require team building, oversight and governance of SPP 34 series, and be able to manage a large team, and several workstreams. - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
