Job Description
Knowledge, skills & abilities

Knowledge of individual and community health problems related to public health programs. Ability to work with considerable independence performing a wide range of duties to support the program.



Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)



Preferred qualifications/skills

• This is a highly responsible position requiring the contracted employee to work with a broad range of partners and stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge and expertise.

• The contracted employee must have strong communication skills.

• The contracted employee must also be willing to work as a team with staff and other program managers.

• The contracted employee must have proficiency in commonly used office computer programs is also required.

• The contracted employee should have experience developing training materials, including PowerPoints, handouts, and quizzes.

• The contracted employee must be able to accomplish program goals.

• The contracted employee will work with the Statewide Community Health Worker Advisory Committee.

• The contracted employee must seek growth and development opportunities and decide on special projects to pursue.

• The contracted employee must research, draft and submit grant deliverables and their associated measures.

• The contracted employee must assure timely preparation of federal reports, program updates, contracts and/or amendments to procure program services.

• The contracted employee must monitor contracts to assure deliverables are met.

• The contracted employee must have background knowledge of chronic disease and recommended preventative care preferred.

• The contracted employee must have experience working with community partners and coalitions preferred.

• The contracted employee must have experience developing and strengthening internal and external partnerships.
