Description:
Thorough knowledge of inspection, testing, and non-destructive examination techniques and practices, use of specialized equipment, and all applicable codes, standards, and regulations in at least one discipline and a general knowledge in another discipline. Broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or civil construction industry practices, safety, and operations and maintenance of industrial facilities and buildings. Typically possesses five or more years experience, depending on level of education, of applicable power plant experience related to area of expertise. Demonstrated experience in at least one primary discipline or method. Responsibilities Candidates in this role will be performing in process inspection to products to ensure they are being produced to specifications as well as partially participating in the production process. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience with quality control, previously or currently operating press machinery and has the ability to navigate a computer system to enter QC statistics. Monitor products in process to ensure product is being produced to specifications. Dedicated to reducing product variation and dedicated to continual improvement. Maintains ownership for the quality of the products produced. Provides excellent internal and external customer service. Operates in compliance with all company safety practices and aids in the development of departmental safety rules Operate hydraulic press Perform all QC activities according to SOP''s Qualifications High school diploma/GED/ or equivalent Previous experience operating Hydraulic Presses3+ years previous related experience minimum Ability to confidently navigate a computer system Comfortable working all shifts The ability to work unsupervised and make judgments during the production
Education Requirement
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload
Inspector shall possess industry certifications needed to assess the construction of concrete, rebar, steel, and wood structures. Utilizing these certifications, the engineering inspector will perform QA checks on work performed by builders on construction sites or structures manufactured at facilities.
ICC/ACI/AMPP Certified Special Inspection Services for reinforced concrete.
Job may include inspections for rebar and concrete placement, ACI tech work for sampling and/or testing, epoxy inspection, structural steel welding, structural masonry, structural steel and bolting, prestressed concrete, corrosion/cathodic protection.
Required Skills/Attributes
Possess International Code Council (ICC) Certification in the following:
a. Reinforced Concrete
b. Structural Welding
Desired Skills/Attributes
1. Possess Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
2. Possess International Code Coucil (ICC) Certification in the following:
c. Structural Masonry
d. Structural Steel and Bolting
e. Prestressed Concrete
f. Soil Inspection
g. Spray Applied Fire Proofing
