Job Description
***Only qualified Quality Engineers candidates located near the Bloomfield CT area are to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Required Technical Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Proficiency in making sketches and engineering drawings.
• Experience with computer applications related to the engineering field, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
• Knowledge of MiniTab software and MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with auto PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA.
• Understanding of AAIG Core Tools and IATF standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in quality control engineering, with specific knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA. They should be adept at using MiniTab and MS Office Suite and possess excellent communication and leadership skills. A detail-oriented team player with the ability to work independently and provide constructive feedback will thrive in this role.
Job Responsibilities
• Devise sampling procedures and design forms/instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
• Establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing, measurement, and analytical facilities
• Write training materials and conduct training sessions on quality control activities
• Focus on areas such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and
administrative applications
• Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing products
• Tabulate data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability
Required Soft Skills:
• Strong creativity, verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Team player with a detail-oriented approach.
• Basic leadership and mentoring skills to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
