Job Description
***Only qualified candidates located near the Baton Rouge, LA area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***



Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:

• Five (5) years minimum experience working in the Scrum Master role

• Familiarity with JIRA

• Agile software development (Scrum Methodology)



Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:

• Experience preparing presentations for project stakeholders

• Experience facilitating team building activities



The scope of the proposed services will include the following:

• Facilitation of Scrum Master

o Daily Scrum Meetings

o Sprint Planning Meetings

o Sprint Review Meetings

o Sprint Retrospective Meetings

• Maintain Team Dynamics

o Coaching team members (e.g., with one-on-one coaching)

o Mediating through impediments & conflicts

o Identifying outstanding project and product decisions impacting team delivery

o Fostering the assigned team’s self-organization

o Supporting Team, Project and Organization goals with project leaders and product owner(s)

o Giving feedback to the team

o Encouraging the use of Agile Practices within the development teams

o Recognizing team productivity issues & fostering continuous improvement methods to resolve the issues.

• Help in product related activities

o Helping teams and vendors with the release planning

o Being familiar with the team (i.e., the product)

• Supporting the big picture

o Bringing people together who should talk to each other

o Keeping in touch with every stakeholder regularly

o Helping the team report to management

o Helping to further the Agile community within the organization

o Being a contact person for everyone on the team and their stakeholders regarding Agile

o Giving learning opportunities to people in the organization (e.g., talks or workshops) and letting them learn important Agile concepts (e.g., technical debt)

o Facilitating change



Additional Details: Must be available for onsite work though the primary work location will be Remote.
