Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and governance, with the ability to support both short-term and long-term strategic business activities through comprehensive data analysis. This role involves creating and managing datasets from diverse sources, performing data mining on large datasets, and implementing data quality improvement initiatives.



Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Science or Computer Science, or a related field



Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Four years of experience as a data analyst on a data management or data governance initiative

• Proven experience in supporting both short, and long term, data management and strategic business activities through comprehensive data analysis

• Ability to conduct in depth data analysis for projects as well as ongoing data quality initiatives

• Experience in creating datasets from diverse sources to advance data management initiatives and processes

• Demonstrated ability to perform data mining on large datasets to enhance data management quality improvement initiatives

• Experience in consulting with business stakeholders to document business requirements and support client needs

• Proficiency in presenting reports with detailed analysis and interpretation for business review and planning

• Strong experience working with relational databases and database structures, with proficiency in SQL

o Ability to develop and recommend business solutions through research and analysis of data

o Use of creativity and process improvement skills to expand and improve existing processes and create new ones in accordance with data governance best practices

• Experience with implementing Data Management lifecycle toolsets

• Experience with implementing master data and/or reference data programs or toolsets

• Practical experience working with multiple project management methodologies including at least one of the following: Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, SAFe

• Proficiency in using project management organizational or visualization tools; examples could be Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, SmartSheet, Wrike, or Rally



Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Knowledge of statistical analysis, and statistical software such as SAS, SPSS or R preferred
