Rose CEO Named Director of the Orange County Purchasing Council (OCPC)
IRVINE, CA, Feb. 23, 2000 - Himanshu Bhatia, CEO of Rose International, was recently named Director of the Orange County Purchasing Council (OCPC). In her role, Bhatia oversees all aspects of the council's function. "I am very honored to accept this appointment," Bhatia said. "The OCPC works very hard to stimulate economic growth in the region, and I am thrilled to be part of such important work."
Since 1980, the Orange County Purchasing Council has been a leader in promoting economic growth in the Orange County business community. The Council's primary goals are to: 1.) help develop minority enterprises that provide useful goods and services at competitive prices; 2.) increase employment for members of underemployed groups; and 3.) help bring disadvantaged enterprises into the mainstream of the region's economy.
Himanshu Bhatia founded Rose International in St. Louis, MO., in 1993. The 280-employee company is a leader in providing Information Technology solutions to corporations and government agencies nationwide. Rose is unique among technology firms as woman- and minority-owned business in a typically male-dominated industry of giants.
