Rose International Recognized as the Fastest-Growing Technology Company in the St. Louis Region
ST. LOUIS, Sept 21, 2000 – Rose International, a leader in technology and e-commerce consulting, has been recognized as the fastest growing technology company in the St. Louis Region. Rose ranked Number 1 on the prestigious Deloitte & Touche St. Louis Regional Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the St. Louis area, based on the percentage of growth in revenues during the five-year period of 1995-1999. Rose ranked at the top with an astounding revenue growth rate of 4,841 percent over the last five years.
In an emotional speech during the event, Rose International's President, Gulab Bhatia, gave much credit to the St. Louis Region for Rose's success. "There are a lot of great places to live in this country, but St. Louis is the best," said Bhatia. "We're so grateful for all that the St. Louis Region has done for us, and we thank you," he said.
Rose's CEO, Himanshu Bhatia, credits employee commitment and a huge demand for e-Business services for the company's amazing growth over the past five years. "It's a good environment right now," said Ms. Bhatia. "Customers turn to us to provide them with a competitive advantage in the New Economy."
This is the third consecutive year Rose has been named to this prestigious and highly contested list, placing second the two previous years. The competition is fierce, and very few companies can claim to rank continuously in the top 10, let alone the top two.
"We're grateful to continually be a part of the list," said Eric Token, Senior Vice President. "Being ranked Number 1 is an amazing achievement that we've looked forward to for some time, and it's a real testament to the commitment of our employees."
To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had revenues of at least $50,000 in 1995 and at least $1million in 1999; must be public or private companies headquartered in the region; and be "technology companies," defined as a company that produces technology, manufactures a technology product, is technologically intensive, uses technology in problem-solving, or devotes a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology.
Winners of the 19 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks the nation's 500 fastest-growing technology companies. Rose ranked 26th in the Technology Fast 500 in 1999, up from 48th the previous year.
