Rose International CEO Wins Entrepreneurial Excellence Award
Working Woman Magazine recognizes Himanshu Bhatia as one of the region's top female entrepreneurs.
ST. LOUIS, March 5, 2001 – Himanshu Bhatia, Chief Executive Officer of Rose International, a leader in providing technology and e-business solutions, was recently named a regional finalist for the Working Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence Award (EEA). Mrs. Bhatia won in the category of General Excellence.
“Being recognized as one of the nation’s top female entrepreneurs is an honor,” said Mrs. Bhatia. “Furthermore, it helps us (Rose International) further position ourselves as a leader in our industry.”
She goes on to say that, “It is especially meaningful in helping promote woman-owned enterprises as a vital part of the nation’s economy.”
The EEA program is the first national campaign to specifically identify the achievements of women entrepreneurs, and it showcases some of the most exciting women entrepreneurs energizing the American economy. This series of six regional events will culminate with the National Awards in April. The Midwest event (consisting of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio) drew more than 100 nominations; and winners were announced on March 5 at the Hotel Inter-Continental in Chicago.
Rose posted 2000 revenues of $29 million, up from $19 million in 1999. Since its inception seven years ago, Rose has experienced a phenomenal revenue growth rate.
