Rose International Named One of North America's Fastest Growing Technology Companies for the Fourth Consecutive Year

St. Louis-based IT firm attributes 1,231 percent growth to employee dedication and the support of its clients.

ST. LOUIS, November 14, 2001 – Rose International, a leader in information technology consulting, today announced that it has once again been named one of America’s fastest growing technology companies by Deloitte & Touche, which recently released its annual ranking of the Technology Fast 500, a list of the nation’s fastest-growing technology companies. The St. Louis-based IT firm was listed at Number 388, posting a 1,231 percent revenue growth rate from 1996 through 2000.

Himanshu Bhatia, Rose International’s Chief Executive Officer, credits the company’s growth to employee commitment and a faithful client base. She said, “The recognition that Rose continues to receive would not be possible without both dedicated employees and clients, and we are eternally grateful for both.”

“Making the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 is a testament to a company’s leadership, commitment to technology, and ability to deliver the right solution at the right time,” said Mark A. Evans, managing director, Deloitte & Touche Technology & Communications Group. “With its 1,231 percent five-year growth rate, Rose International has proven that its leadership has the vision and determination to succeed, and we at Deloitte & Touche salute their accomplishments.”

2001 Fast 500 Facts
Of the 500 companies listed, 11 were from Missouri, with nine of those companies headquartered in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.

The 2001 Technology Fast 500 averaged a five-year revenue growth rate of 6,184 percent.

The total 2000 revenues of this year’s Fast 500 companies were $86.2 billion.

Forty-four percent of the companies on this year’s list are in the “Software” industry, with the “Internet” industry running a distant second at 15 percent.

Fast 500 Selection and Qualifications
The Fast 500 list is compiled from three sources: winners of Deloitte & Touche’s 22 regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 1996 revenues of at least $50,000 USD and $75,000 CD for the United States and Canada, respectively. Entrants are public or private companies headquartered in North America and must be a “technology company,” defined as a company that develops proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operation revenues, manufactures a technology-related product or devotes a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology.
