Flexible/Predictable Work Arrangements and Temporary Schedule Changes
San Francisco, California
- Employees may qualify to request a flexible or predictable work arrangement if they have been employed for six months or more and who work at least eight (8) hours per week on a regular basis in San Francisco, California.
- Requests for arrangements may be to assist with caregiving responsibilities for: (a) a child or children under the age of eighteen; (b) a person or persons with a serious health condition in a family relationship with the employee; or (c) a parent (age 65 or older) of the employee.
- Requests must be approved by our Human Resources Department.
New York City, New York
- Employees may qualify to request two (2) temporary schedule changes per year for up to one (1) business day per request for a qualifying personal event if they work 80 hours or more per calendar year and they have worked for at least 120 days in New York City, New York.
- Qualifying personal events include: 1) to provide care for a minor child or other care recipient; (2) to attend a legal proceeding or hearing for subsistence benefits for the employee, the employee's family member, or the employee's care recipient; or (3) to attend to any circumstance that would constitute a basis for leave under New York City's Earned Safe and Sick Time Act (ESSTA). If our Human Resources Department approves the use of two (2) business days for one (1) request, the employee will then reach his/her maximum of two (2) requests for that calendar year.
